I was born in Seattle in 1994 and grew up in West Seattle. I always liked making things, and I learned to code because it paid the bills. It took a while before the two had anything to do with each other.

I write programs, and the programs make the pieces. Getting one good piece out of a program isn’t hard. Getting it to make nothing but good ones, including all the ones nobody will ever open, is the actual job, and that’s where most of my time goes. What keeps me at it is that nothing exists ahead of time. Every piece gets drawn from a number, right there, while you’re watching, and it isn’t anywhere until then.
